This charming little restaurant in downtown Huntsville is the best place to enjoy a sit-down breakfast.

Admittedly, we looked over this place for far too long! Not realizing that this restaurant was serving the best delicious breakfast in Huntsville. So don’t make our mistake if you’re looking for a casual atmosphere with a fantastic menu. They offer traditional options with a modern touch for those who want a classic breakfast that truly hits the spot.

Dylan and I are both creatures of habit. Often ordering our most favourite dish every time. For Dylan, that’s the omelet. Me on the other hand, I love to start my day with an eggs benedict – or a “Mr. Benny” as you’ll find it on the Main Street Local Menu. Both options are absolutely delicious and will not leave you disappointed.

While we often go for the delicious food, the amazing service from the staff here is a real perk! The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming as staff are friendly and thoughtfully attentive throughout your visit.

Though Main Street Local is located downtown Huntsville, it’s fairly easy to find parking. Provided there’s not a big event happening downtown anyway. We generally park at one of the municipal parking lots: River Mill Park lot (located at Dara Howell Way and River Mill Park) or the West Street North lot (located behind Royal Bank at West Street North and Caroline Street). Both parking lots are approximately a 5-minute walk to the restaurant.

Now hang on – isn’t this a small, local grocery store? Well, yes. But inside this off-the-beaten path location, you’ll find an excellent assortment of grab-and-go options.

This spot isn’t ideal if you want to sit down for a classic breakfast. However, if you’re in the mood for a well-made, fresh coffee and a homemade breakfast baked good, this is the spot to go.

The Muskoka Good Food Coop has a great selection of coffee and tea options for your morning ‘perk me up’. It’s made on the spot to ensure a freshness you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else.

You’ll also be greeted with a variety of baked goods. The team makes almost all of these in-house and you can taste the freshness! I love grabbing a muffin when I pop in. While they do have some staples, they often rotate their selection. So part of the fun is simply to see what’s being offered on any given day!

Parking is easily available right out front as well. So popping in to grab a coffee and a freshly baked treat is easy any time!

No matter where your Muskoka adventure is taking you, these breakfast restaurants will ensure you start your day off with great food in your belly!
